Stars going nude for publicity
This isn't anything new really. Stars and not-so stars have been going nude for a variety of causes, including their own. From nude PETA demonstrations to magazine covers, nudity sells.
For naturists, it's not really a naturist issue since the point of this type of exposure is to draw attention to the cause using nudity as the attention grabber. Naturism by contrast is simply about body/self acceptance as we naturally are. It's often been said by nudists that you forget you are nude.
So why is this issue of nude publicity of interest to naturists? Partly because it's a small indicator of how well nudity is accepted in our society. And given the current state of things being far more conservative of late, it's nice to see that some amount of nudity is accepted and even more that some of the more famous in our society also don't have an issue being nude -- even if it is just for a non-nudist/naturist cause.

I guess stars do get their clothes off just to make more money. I would if I was famous and could make an extra one million a movie.
I guess naturists are not interested in stars and naturism as its not the same. Movies and marketign are different. I wonder if you get stars at cap D'agde resort - the worlds largest naturism resort?
My feeling is that the public is more accepting of nudism if it's the "beautiful" people who are getting naked. The average nudist probably doesn't fit into that category.
You know, I haven't heard of any celebrities getting naked for naturism.
