| Pasco Fl. - Nudists Exempted from new Law |
| Jan 23, 2008 |
Pasco County in Florida just passed a new law that further defines what a sexually oriented business is. According to a St. Petersburg Times article the new language is "blush-inducing." So much so that the Mayor Mark Abbott make a very simple and short statement avoiding the details, "I think we all know what the issues are, Just make the wise decisions." The council hearing was also short with little debate. It would appear that law is targeted at a specific "adult" club that is said to cater to swingers. There were concerns in the nudist community that this new language would make nudist resorts illegal, however they are exempted because they are explicitly allowed in county code.
