| Holiday Food Prep Tip: Go Nude |
| Nov 14, 2007 |
Ok, so what does going nude have to do with cooking. Well, um.. nothing really - but this article from Nanton News has this attention grabbing headline, "Go topless this Christmas," as a lead into cooking tips. Don't you just hate it when people use certain words in headlines for the sole purpose of grabbing your attention? I mean really, I can only read so much in a day.
Oh well, so I thought I'd hop onto that bandwagon with my own tips. Now, In the case of Nanton News they are talking specifically about not covering the things you might roast in the oven. In my case I'm talking about not covering yourself, and am actually suggesting that you leave the clothes at home - or at least in the closet for the holidays.
As for the cooking tips, save a bird and go veg. We just bought two Tofurkeys (tofu turkeys). They come with stuffing, two veggie patties in the shape of drumsticks and some really great brown gravy. You roast the Tofurkey in the oven for a couple of hours - and can even splash a little orange juice on it for flavor. They come out really good. Oh, and yeah, you can eat them naked. No dressing required. |
